Poem 31: Waiting

Waiting

You stand,
at the door of myself.
You wait,
knowing I know.
You heard,
my voice acknowledge...
But now,
there's no sight of me.

You speak,
you know I can hear you,
But still,
I never appear.
You ask
why am I laughing.
I fear,
seeing your face.
I know
I am not faithful,

Sorry,
My heart is not ready
..for you

I hurt,
& I know what I must do...

Poem 29: Unnatural

Unnatural

What have I gained
how have I grown
what does it mean
all that I own

what do I get
when I work all day
and for each day off
I must pay

how can I measure
just what life is
I'll never get ahead enough
with all this buis.

everything I see
so unnatural to me
how can I enjoy all this
if I never feel free

Poem 28: Someone

Someone

We need someone to love
someone to hold us
to share our deepest truths with

We need someone to love
someone to listen
to hold their heart wide open

We need someone to take time
someone with advice
to make a path that helps guide

I need...

someone who's got it together
who'll be there forever

...you were them to me

I need your love
I need your hugs
your willing ears
the room for tears

I need...
you to be there
just 'cause you care
and you can see the truth...

your peace
was the piece I needed
your heart
had room for mine

your arms
were always open
but -
where are you tonight?

Poem 27: This Graceful Season

This Graceful Season

It's all right,
the ground is all white, once more...
it's finally snowing,
just what I've been waiting for...

Oh just a little bit
not too much of it
just enough, to keep it all white

these words send applause
I love it because:

everything's right...
everything's white, clean and pure.

Such fun and beautiful fluff
could be significant stuff
I enjoy it more every year

when it covers the ground
without making a sound
I feel such peace in the air

with time it starts to get brown
but then more will come down
covering it over again

then I will applause
I love it because:

when everything's white...
everything's right, clean and pure

Poem 26: The Truth Inside of You (second version)

This was for a contest based on a photo

The Truth Inside of You (second version)

I can see the truth inside of you
written deep between the lines
displayed for those who care to see
what is real within, beyond those eyes

Anyone can pretend
but the world is not a show
playing a part is not what we call life
(I'll pick up the pieces you forget to hide)

There is a truth deep within
that shines through the holes of your shell
enough light to lead me through the dark
So I will never give up - trying to reach your heart.

Poem 25: What Time is It?

What time is 1t?

twelve o'clock
time will not stop
if i can see the sun

one o'clock
we will still talk
with nothing I can prove

two o'clock
i'm part of the flock
“just listen, you'll agree

three o'clock
today the lame walk
still the power from before

four o'clock
on this solid rock
so i'll never cease to strive

five o'clock
my faith will not drop
too much for me exists

six o'clock
you may think i'm off
in time we'll get things straight

eight o'clock
I broke though my lock
- now freedom is mine
it all took some time...

like, seven o'clock
which just got missed
but I won't kiss away
my ticket, for one more 'good' time

nine o'clock
I've never stopped
I have better times
then I did back then

ten o'clock
I just looked at my watch
& found wasted hours for heaven

eleven o'clock
as fast as a fox
don't let the time run out.
