Poem 24: Piece of Cake

 Piece of Cake

You build this wall in front of me...
You're on the other side.
With all your might you yell to me,
"Come on don't waste your time"

"Tear down this wall!" you cry,
"it's easy, why delay?"
I shake my head at every thought,
| want to walk away.

- So much put forth to separate...
Consider all you've done.
The hurt, The pain, I've felt inside!
I can't just say, "You won."

My emotions will take some time
to put this past behind.
Each brick so hard to put away...
I can't watch the time rewind.

Now tearing down a real wall,
I must say would be fun...
But if this was such a piece of cake,
Our struggle would be won!

Poem 31: Waiting

Waiting You stand, at the door of myself. You wait, knowing I know. You heard, my voice acknowledge... But now, there's no sight of me. ...
